Our greatest power is the power to choose. We can decide where we are, what we do, and what we think. No one can take the power to choose away from us. It is ours and ours alone. We can do what we want to do. We can be who we want to be.
-The Best of Success
You have the power to decide. You have the power of CHOICE. That power allows you to decide everything in your life. That is good! And that makes you responsible! And that is good too! It has been said that with power, comes responsibility. With responsibility you are now accountable for the CHOICES you make. In fact you have to live with them. My father, Gene Snow has repeatedly told me, "you always have CHOICES. Even when you make a bad choice, you can still make a good one. Learn from the bad ones and recover." Make a better CHOICE and move on. Reminds me of a quote from Napoleon Hill; “It is always your next move.”
Again, you are responsible for your CHOICES, you can be great, you can be average or you can be terrible. We all have different skills, talents and different levels of intelligence, but we have the CHOICE to do something with the gifts God gave us. You can do want you want to do; you can be what you want to be. There is so much freedom in the thought of CHOICE; you can choose anything at any moment. You can choose to make more phone calls, you can choose to study one more hour, you can choose to go here or there with these friends or those friends, you can choose to marry this person, buy this house, work at this job, have this career, move to that city, go to that church, lose some weight, gain some weight, wake at this time, go to bed at that time. Every situation you have the CHOICE. It is up to you to choose the best CHOICE for you every time you have a CHOICE.
“I am the master of my fate. I am the captain of my soul” a very famous quote from William Ernest Hensley. Do you actually see yourself as your own captain? Do you see yourself as your own master? Are you the CEO of you? If not, I challenge you, I implore you that you see yourself as your own master or you will be someone else’s servant. You must see yourself as your own captain or you will be on someone else’s ship.
I will give you quick three points on choice.
Make an Educated Choice. The best possible choice first- If you can, anticipate and study the choice, so when you make it, you make it confidently and quickly. Review the decision at hand; decide what is best for you, your family and your business. Weigh the pros and cons and don’t be reluctant to get council, free or fee. Nights are better after days of good decision making.
Make a Confident Choice. Once you make a choice, stand by your decision. Do not waiver easily or be swayed by someone else’s decision. If you chose to do a certain thing, you researched it, thought through it, weighed it and reviewed it. Don’t give up on your decision after all this work…….Unless there is a better choice and there is little loss to abandon the first choice. Stubbornness will force you to stick to your ideas and choice but won’t allow you to seek other options and re-choose a better decision. Always seek what is good for you, your business and your family. Freedom is to still have that choice (or the power to use that choice to decide and choose.)
Make a Decisive Choice. When you make a decision, act upon it. Don’t delay or be hesitant. If everything is in place, move. He who hesitates is lost. You have to keep moving, keep pressing forward and keep striving to grow. The only way to grow and gain is to understand you have the ability to make choices. You can make educated, confident and decisive choices. So make them right away so you can act upon the decision. Until you do, you are still deciding, still deliberating, and still choosing.
HERE’S MY POINT!
Remember, 1.Educated Choices 2. Confident Choices 3. Decisive Choices
When you get this strategy you are making a CHOICE to experience SUCCESSNOW!
